Join us July 28 for a one-hour, no-cost webinar, “Tell Your Story Before They Do.” Speaker and poet Nate Howard will inspire you as he shares how owning and sharing our personal stories can empower each of us. Learn how storytelling can lead to greater understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion in our schools and communities in engaging and creative ways. Mr. Howard was selected on the inaugural NBCBLK28 list as one of the top 28 Black leaders in the nation.

With the motto of “Tell Your Story Before They Do,” Movement BE has directly impacted thousands of students across the nation and even the world. Mr. Howard’s belief is that we should focus our activism on education and empower youth to create change so that the movement is proactive and sustainable.

During this webinar, you will:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of Transformative Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) for educators.
  • Be introduced to new strategies for EdTech and gamification to engage students at a deeper level.
  • Learn how poetry and narrative therapy can support issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Harmony SEL provides learning opportunities in Diversity and Inclusion in Unit 2 through stories, lessons, and games for grades pre-K-6. Visit the Harmony Online Learning Portal to access these resources at no cost. Throughout the Harmony program, students are encouraged to find their voice and develop the prerequisite skills to telling and owning their unique stories.

Participants who join live with receive a certificate of participation. If you are not able to join the live session, register to receive access to the recording after the webinar.
