It’s Time to Celebrate What We’ve Accomplished and Be Inspired for the School Year Ahead!
June 24 at 1-2 p.m. PT/4-5 p.m. ET

This month, our webinar is all about reflecting on a challenging year and celebrating your amazing work. Together, with a panel of award-winning educators, we will:

  • Reflect on the incredible journey educators have taken in the 2020-2021 school year and celebrate all you have accomplished in pre-K-12 education during a pandemic.
  • Renew a focus on the importance of social and emotional learning in the context of trauma and social unrest experienced by many.
  • Identify what you know about SEL to approach the challenges that lie ahead so that you feel prepared and ready for a successful year with Harmony SEL and other resources in your toolkit.

Our discussion will be led and moderated by Dr. Sara Rimm-Kaufman, Commonwealth Professor of Education at the University of Virginia and author of SEL from the Start, published for teachers in 2020.

Panelists will include:

  • Sarah Frayer, an award-winning teacher, education consultant, and public speaker with over 10 years of experience as a teacher, lead summer school curriculum developer, team lead, and instructional coach.
  • Whitney Green, an award-winning school counselor in Maryland, the founding school counselor for two public charter schools, and a fierce advocate and ally for mental health needs and support.
  • Alejandro Diasgranados, a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher in Washington, D.C., a Teach for America alum and teacher-leader, the 2020 D.C. Teacher of the Year, and the 2020 National University Teacher Award Winner.
  • Dr. Monica Loyce, Principal of Thurgood Marshall Elementary School in Chula Vista, California.
